Hoping some of you can help. We recently found out we are expecting our first baby and were in the midst of finding a flat to buy in London. We've changed our tactics for the obvious reasons of it not being feasible to raise a little one in the city. We will both continue to work here though, so need a commuter town that's affordable. Hemel is far more affordable than St Albans and can't seem to find much in King's Langley. We started looking in HH this weekend in Gadebridge, Chaulden, Adeyfield and near Bennetts end/Apsley. Seen some lovely houses, but want to understand A) what are the safer/nicer parts (we've been told to avoid Grovehill and Woodhall Farm way) and B) are there any stand out nursery/pre schools near these areas that we should consider?
