Interview for passport

Hi ,
I have a passport interview online, and I was wondering what it consists of please?
I was born and bred in the UK, but as I am a dual citizen, I have been informed this is the norm.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I had one a few years ago, it was my first passport at 28 so I think that’s why I got asked.

from what I can remember it’s generally just a chat, “where did you grow up? What schools did you go to? What’s your local area like?”

I was for some reason quite nervous but it was honestly just like a chat with a stranger

Are you sure that´s the reason? I am a dual citizen and I have never been interviewed, they just wanted a copy of my EU passport.

Yes, that is what they said , and they also said have a double barrel surname in a different order in the UK and the EU it is required.

Hah! I was literally asking friends this morning if they had ever had one. None had unfortunately.

I had a text asking me to book an appointment so I called the number only to be told to wait for the letter which will arrive in the next few days. Pity the text never mentioned that 🙄

I had a text and an email to say I need phone and book. Nothing about a letter.
Hmm...

I was told the letter will contain the reference number that's required for booking. Does your email have that number?

EDIT - mine was the old fashioned way of paper form and post, which is maybe why I'm getting a letter. If you did it online then maybe that's why you have email instead ?? Otherwise I have no idea.

I did it online.

I just had to give my original application reference number they give and that's it.

Perhaps a physical application form has different requirements to an online one.
