Hi all.
My little girl starts school full time next Tuesday. She's just turned 4 and whilst I'm aware I could keep her home for another year, she is more than ready for it. She attended the school for a year in the nursery where she did 2 hours a day so already has friends and is settled.
My son who's 7, starts year 3 at the same school.
It will be the first time, in nearly 7.5 years, that I've not had one of them at home with me, and honestly, I feel so emotional. When I think about it, I cry. I feel like a chapter is closing and as excited as I am for her to explore and learn, I can't help but feel really sad.

I've spent all my time at home with them. Every minute is spent running around seeing to their needs. Now I feel like I don't know what to do without them around. It sounds utterly ridiculous i know. I feel silly typing it. Everyone keeps telling me how much of a blast ill have alone which I laugh along with. But deep down, I'm not ready 😩. I work evenings part time, so will need to find hobbies. Just feel a little lost i guess.

Any tips on how I can adjust. I'm dreading that first drop off. I just know I'm going to be fighting tears. Is this normal ?

Thank you x
