Does anyone know of any free councilling services please that take place over the phone?

Have just checked out the relate site but is £45 for an hour session which I can not afford.

ask your gp to refer you to a local counselling service, I had mine done over the phone

mixedupemotions · 17/04/2008 13:09

Hi,I asked at the surgery reception desk and they told me they don't do free councilling anymore but they have a leaflet with private councillers details on.

Agree with approaching GP. I'm also sure that the relate charge is a suggested donation, so if you genuinely can't afford it then I think they will do it cheaper.

Have you tried calling parentline? They will probably be able to give you some numbers.

mixedupemotions · 17/04/2008 13:18

Had'nt thought of asking parentline.

I just need to speak to someone at the moment and the samartians are really there more for listening rather than giving advice as such.

Is it just that you need a voice, or do you need real advice?
Is it something you don't want to talk about on here?

mixedupemotions · 17/04/2008 13:55

Devil wears primark-I have started a thraed in relationships about my DH and our relationship at the moment.

Just wanted to talk to someone about it really as it is getting me down and niggling away at me.

Don't have anyone in real life to talk to.

Not sure if I am being paranoid or just feeling down at the moment.

If you want to then email me and I will give you my phone number. I know that may sound odd but a mumsnetter did the same for me recently and it really helped me.

But if you don't mind would like to call you tomorrow during the day at a time suitable to you when I am here alone.

Thanks, that is really nice of you.
