Problems with making paypal payment - anyone else had this?

Trying to make a paypal payment for an item on ebay and it's refusing the payment because "my card failed the authorisation process" or something like that.

I've tried different cards I've got registered with them, none of them have expired, one is Switch, others are Visa.

Will have to write a cheque at this rate.

Has this happened to anyone else?

no but bump and have you tried e-mailing paypal themselves for them to look into it?
