Hi,

me and my partner was meant to move to a Hiusing association property but when we stated to clean noticed it smelt of damp so I don’t want to move. I’ve said to my partner he can still move as tenancy is in both names and I’ll stay here.

so I’m part time so would have to remove him off my universal credit claim as I cannot afford to pay everything. So as it’s not close by he’d have to leave him job and decorate for a week while applying so would probably claim for a month there while he starts a job. I might eventually decide to move with him but I’m not sure the house is right so don’t want to lose my house now and my job and it not work out so can we do 2 separate claims as we will be living and paying separately

I'm confused are both houses social housing ? I don't think you would be allowed 2 houses between you.

Do you know where the damp is. Or what's causing it. Have you told the housing association about it
