I am awaiting my telephone PIP tribunal date and I am feeling extremely anxious once the date gets confirmed. I have Psoriatic Arthritis and I also suffer with agoraphobia. When I first applied for PIP I had not been officially diagnosed by my GP with being agoraphobic so when I got the first decision from DWP they only awarded me with standard rate for Daily Living and not awarded anything for Mobility so I appealed the decision because they had scored me incorrectly on the Daily Living, within the time of putting in the appeal I had been diagnosed by my GP with agoraphobia so I sent in a letter from my GP confirming the diagnosis of server anxiety and agoraphobia. I received the second decision stating they have awarded me the higher rate of Daily Living and the lower rate of Mobility. The reason I have now taken it to a tribunal is because I explained I cannot complete a journey (familiar or unfamiliar) without someone with me) if I have to attend a face to face appointment with my rheumatologist consultant (most appointments are usually via a phone call), they did not score me on that part of Mobility even though my GP put this in his letter. I did not put on the original claim form about my server anxiety or agoraphobia as I had not been officially diagnosed and I am worried this will be the reason they will not change the Mobility award. Has anyone else had this situation? If yes, please can you tell me what the outcome was. Thank you in advance for any advice on this.
