hi! i'm currently 12 weeks pregnant and me and my bf are living with my mother. she's currently in a lot of debt and is on the verge of being evicted, she keeps being offered help but keeps refusing it as she would rather buy alcohol and vapes. me and my bf has put our name down for the housing list but this list is very well known for taking ages, so right now im extremely worried and just very stressed! we can stay in my grandparents if we do get evicted but we'd have to move by time the baby is born due to their house being quite small.

any advice and just some words of comfort would be amazing right now!

(my bf and i are 20, he works full time and i work part time)

Can't you rent a place of your own?

You should’ve thought about where you were going to live before having a baby. It’s part of being a responsible adult.

You can’t expect a council property these days, the lists are years long, and even if you did get one it’ll be a time one bed flat.

You may be able to take over the tenancy - or if she’s not paying her rent, why aren’t you?

And you thought it was a good idea to bring a baby into this situation because….?

Why are you only working part time?

That's a good point, why aren't you and your partner paying the rent, and why do you work part time?

If you stay with your grandparents you'll no longer be counted as homeless. You'll need to go into a hostel or temp housing.

Why aren't you helping your mum with the rent/bills?
