Rudeness or offensive

I was at a wedding a little while ago with my husband who unfortunately did not sit with me for dinner, /When he came over one of the men that sat at the same table as me (name not known) said "are you taking your dad to bed". I was furious as I do not know this person and found it quite offensive. I nearly slap him across the face insuring that all my rings were in the right place for good effect.

Again?! I'd stop going to weddings if I were you.

I'm glad you didn't slap someone at a wedding. The poor bride and groom!
Having said that, it was very rude of that man to say what he said.
