My ex has paid maintenance every month, however there has been a few occasions he has been late paying, a few occasions where he will withhold money due to disagreements, he’s always disputed the amount due to overnight stays/living with step children. To be quite honest I’m at the end of my tether with having to walk on egg shells/beg just to get the money from him even thought he technically hasn’t missed payments. We have minimal contact and are very high conflict. I have applied for CM hoping they will do collect and pay so I then don’t ever have to rely on him/trust him to pay. I know it will keep happening and I don’t want to rely on somebody who hates me, when I have 2 children at home that need feeding. Can anyone advise if this will happen or not? Will they just refuse and say direct pay? It’s torture having to deal with him and communicate with him just to make sure he pays on time. He’s using it as a way to control me. Before anyone says ‘be glad he pays’ and makes excuses, he is very controlling and narcissistic. Thank you for any advice
