GroEgg 2 thermometer - anyone had issues?

My son is 1 and has recently started sleeping in his own room (well overdue I know). I was gifted a Groegg thermometer and started using it recently just to make sure his room is a decent temperature.

I’ve noticed that perhaps it seems a bit off? It currently says his room is 23.8°. It has been a very warm day, however I’ve had the fan on for an hour before putting him to bed, along with open windows and doors to allow good air flow, upstairs seems to feel quite cool.

I’ve just checked on my son and his chest and the rest of him actually feels quite on the cold side. The room itself doesn’t feel particularly warm. We don’t have a 1/1.5 tog sleeping bag, only a 2.5 so I dressed him in a long sleeve vest and a sleepsuit due to the Groegg saying it was on the warmer side.

the baby monitor we have says it’s 26° however it is near the top of the wall and I know heat rises so perhaps that is why it’s always warm. We have a Vtech monitor.

Has anyone else had issues with GroEgg or baby monitors? My husband is always a warm person and he’s said himself that our son’s bedroom doesn’t feel warm. Our house thermostat says it is 21.5°. I’m finding myself constantly checking on him making sure he is ok. I know he’s old enough to sleep with a blanket, but during his day time naps he has a habit of putting the blanket over his face still, so I worry about letting him sleep with one during the night, as I’m constantly in and out of his room making sure he’s ok.

I’m now contemplating putting his sleeping bag on him but don’t want to disturb him and definitely don’t want to over heat him
