Money changes people

Hi. I’m just curious to know if this is something others have an opinion on.
Why do SOME people change when they get money?
I have an old friend that came from a relatively poor family, however they’d give the shirt off their back to help others.
One of their children married into money and seems to have pretty much cut them out of her life. They all post pictures on SM together and she is never in them. She never posts anything about them or seem to include them in her family’s special occasions.
She has very few of her old friends as friends on FB.
I often wonder if it’s because they are embarrassed by their upbringing, are insecure about themselves and don’t want people to judge them.
I’d be interested in other people’s thoughts.

I have a friend who was brought up poor. She now has a DH who had money from his parents. They've moved various times into very expensive private lets. All over the country. She used to use coupons and vouchers for everything. Now she turns her nose up at "cheap" things. I love a bargain so the cheaper the better for me. But she wants to go to expensive restaurants and away for weekends to expensive hotels. Needless to say, we don't meet up very much. My DS is the same. She got a taste of her bfs money and now she won't shop at Primark anymore. It does my head in as I know where they came from and I feel they should be considerate of others that aren't as "rich" as them.
