I’m on maternity and have been since September. I get statutory pay which is due to end in June. I’ve spent my entire maternity leave worrying because my employer hasn’t kept in touch with me, they were not great whilst I was pregnant, left me alone, no breaks etc. I have been trying to contact them since before Christmas to ask about my return to work and had to chase this numerous times. I had a response a few weeks ago to tell me when my maternity pay would end and my holidays but when I’ve confirmed a return to work date and part time request they haven’t responded. I’ve called, emailed, text and have had nothing back, I feel uncomfortable and anxious at the thought of returning when I don’t think I’m wanted back. What do I do about this if they aren’t responding? There isn’t a HR department.
I’m so worried about everything, I wake up in the night worrying about what I’m going to do if I have no job to return to. I’m going to apply for other roles but I still need answers. If anyone has any advice on what my next move should be, it would be appreciated.
