😡After booking Peter Kay tickets for a special occasion, we are extremely disappointed that the venue has had to cancel the event. The option of a day the following week has been given but we are unable to attend on that day due to work commitments.
So reluctantly we took the option to have the tickets refunded. We paid a total of £450 for our 6 tickets but have only been refunded £390! Plus we are out of pocket for the venue parking of £25! Sure this is not acceptable for something that was entirely out of our control

Why the discrepancy in refund amounts? Is it an admin fee?
The parking I expect you'll have to take up with the venue itself.

Nevermind, just found the T&C's. Seems pretty clear that they aren't liable for parking and that the booking and transaction fees aren't refundable.

We now understand that in the terms and conditions when we bought the tickets there was apparently a booking fee included. This wasn’t obvious when we bought the tickets, we were just excited to be going and the thought never crossed our minds that there would be a cancellation.
When reluctantly opting for the refund there was no mention of charges being deducted. How can we possibly be liable when it is them that cannot fulfil their obligation?

Looks like it's the organiser according to the terms and conditions that are responsible for cancelling a gig, not the ticket vendor. The ticket vendor has probably done enough to be able to charge an admin fee, processing the booking, issuing tickets etc. The fact it's in the T&C's when buying the tickets too. I've ordered from them before and you have to tick a box before purchasing to say you've read the terms.

Gigs and tours have been in touch and they are now refunding the full amount.

Oh, I see. I only just discovered the terms and conditions. The non-refundable nature of the booking and transaction fees and their lack of liability for parking are evident. basketball stars
