Hi, this is my first post. I am unsure if this is the right place, but I wanted to ask if I could have some motivating posts about eye lens replacement surgery in young people? I have a prescription of -12 at the age of 25, and I genuinely cannot function without my glasses and I am not suitable for LASIK so have been offered this option? I am aware of the risks with retinal detachment, but due to my high prescription I am already at high risk of it regardless, but it is really making me anxious as I am unsure who to speak to about this. I do have an appointment with a optometrist soon, but of course mostly in London they are motivated by money, so I am unsure and very anxious. Just reaching out here for some sound advice and encouragement? Thank you in advance
