Bubble wrap - should the bubbles point in or out?

Bubbles touching the box I'm wrapping and smooth side out?

Or Bubbles sticking out and bubble's bums touching the box?

bubbles in, smooth side out - at least that's what i do!

I always wrap with bubbles facing the item i am wrapping.

Bubbles in so that if you selotape it, it's easier on the smooth side

I had always wondered.

Bubble bums out it is.
