That had to be the most shattering experience ever. This was my first Christmas with a two and a half year old and a new baby, no family close to invite us over so I did it all, present buying, wrapping and playing Santa Claus. Christmas lunch more present opening (just because it takes so long with an over excited toddler) screaming from both blah blah blah I truely feel like Scrooge now and am really looking forward to sitting down on my own!! I never realised how well my folks did Christmas and now they aren't around to tell. Am I the only one out there feeling really low about my attempt at Christmas and I wanted it all to be so perfect????

No you are not the only one! I have always said that Boxing Day is MY day. Minimal cooking, children happily playing with their new things, no rushing - it is Heaven. Every year I promise myself a low-key Christmas next year and it never happens. Am now looking forward to getting the children to bed (only DS poorly now so shouldn't be too bad), maybe having a bath, a nice glass of wine and then I will fall asleep in front of Vicar of Dibley.
