Not holding out much hope, but what would you do with DS (2.10) who hates the wind & snow? DH is on nights so he'll be in bed & we have done 'play shops, play Play Doh, lay painting' all flippin' day today. Something wonderful please, if you could....the baths are shut, the play place is shut, even Tesco is shut. We can't JUST eat choclate! Well,I can, but it's hardly family fun is it?

You need a blues clues adventure day! (is that still on?) A trail round the house with secret tunnels and a picnic under the duvet.

We are wondering what to do tomorrow too. It is DDs 8th Birthday tomorrow and we had her party today, so basically what we normally do on Easter Sunday we did today! So what can we do?

If you think of anything exciting please share, so we can copy too!

Actually Bendi, you could egg rolling, that is what we did in our hall this afternoon (we were going to a really big hill but the weather was so bad {plus DD was just getting over being quite poorly}) The children had great fun, I bet your DS would love it. We made a ramp and watched to see which hard boiled egg went the furthest! You will be surprised at how the eggs all went in different directions.

You could also get him to paint hard boiled egg, or even take it in turns to hide eggs for each other to find.

What on earth is a blues clues adventure day - would I need to start prepping now?? Bad luck on the birthday party front, pinkbubble - how does she feel about crap weather? A bike ride is still a bike ride, as long as they aren't nervous about being blown away.

Ooh I'm liking that, pinkbubble. He likes games that you count thru', we could play hide the eggs after we painted them. Hope DD is feeling better.

Luckily she was much better today and did enjoy her party! Although she never complained when I told her it was bed time.

The favourite eggs to decorate today were bees and chicks, they also wanted to put parachutes on them! A mansize tissue with a bit of string!!!! LOL Kids thought it was great.

Genius.........So, whats the plan tomorrow? Pancakes for breakfast? Nice walk in the snow? How about letting her be Mum so you can lay on the sofa & she can run the show? My DS is only little, but i have a recurring dream of him saying, "I'm in charge today" Ha Ha.., dream on. Have a lovely day, whatever you do and thanks for the tip about the eggs. I'm constucting ramps in my head as we speak - he wont know whats hit him. Just so long as I remember to boil them first!
