Hi me and my partner have applied for universal credit and have to wait until 05th of February to find out if we will get it... I did the entitled to calculator which does say we qualify for it so does that mean we will get it? Get anxious that we won't, I'm on maternity smp partner works around 25 hours a week so hoping we will receive it

He will be expected to look for more work, I think the expected amount is 35 hours at minimum wage, according to google?

Surely he gets a second job ? He / you can work way more hours than 25!

He needs a second job. Did you not save for your maternity leave? Can you return to work sooner and cover more childcare between you?

Was just curious as all the calculators say we will get universal credit, I am on maternity leave and worked 30 hours a week before i came off the hours we both worked before I came off didn't leave us enough to save any money up, nothing was said to me about him needing to have more hours when I had a meeting at the job center to confirm my identity as couldn't do it online and like I say his hours being this low are temporary as this is always a quiet time for restaurants, geuss we will have to wait and see what our statement says on 05th of February
