Will it be a sodden mass when she gets to eat it? Any ideas for preventing this? TIA x

you could just give her bread/butter sarnies and sliced cucumber seperately for her to put in later?

My children like these,I put the cucumber slices in a sandwich bag,and a couple of pieces of bread in another I must admit they normally eat the cucumber and leave the bread

Make sure there is butter on every single bit of the bread (acts as a barrier). As I slice the cucumber I lay it on a couple of pieces of kitchen towel. Lay another over top and pat. Then just make up as usual.
Reading back it sounds like a lot of faff, but it isn't really.

Thanks everyone, I procrastinated for ages over this one and eventually gave her a ham sandwich. Your ideas make good sense for tomorrow!

Just hope I don't get lynched at 3.30 when I see her.
