should you leave it to last possible minute, or are there any other tips as to how to win?

I always wait till the last couple of minutes - as close to the end as you are brave enough to do!!!

yuleicorn · 21/12/2004 15:45

what is the latest possible time you can stick a bid in? ie how many minutes or seconds to go?

The highest bid wins..so placing your very Max Bid within the last 30 seconds will get you it...unless of course someone else is prepared to pay more!...

You can always use an online sniping tool if you're desperate! Defintiely leave it until the last minute, there's nothing to be gained by bidding early IMHO.

yep, I downloaded Auction Sentry - it works!

Dreams · 21/12/2004 15:56

whats a snipping tool ??

Dreams · 21/12/2004 15:56

auction sentry?

TinselTamum · 21/12/2004 15:58

It's a "thing" that bids for you automatically at the last moment. Auctionstealer is one example. Its very useful if an auction is ending in the middle of the night, like a US one for example.
