help! Sudocreme on brand new carpet!!!!

this type of scenario cannot be unheard of here!!!!

a friend has got it smeared all into her lovely new carpet!!!!! an early present from the toddler... any suggestions on how to get it out??

sudocreme is a nightmare to shift.

I don't know if this works but a friend of mine swears it does - and at least it can't hurt to try.

Scrape up what you can of the Sudocreme with a knife, then sprinkle talcum powder all over what's left. Leave it on for as long as you can for the talc to absorb the grease - at least a couple of hours, overnight if you can - then hoover it up.
