I've googled but I can't find any info on it. I'm sure following a child going missing in recent years it was felt/thought that reporting the case in the media promptly may help the kidnapper get caught? I'm just hoping that there may be an innocent explanation in the Shannon Mathews case, ie she went there on her way home from school following a possible argument with her step dad (which was reported as a possibility), Step uncle agreed to let her stay to 'cool off' and then saw the missing girl report on the news (was it on the news at 10 or 6 even?) and panicked.
