Wood worm

Hi can you get rid of wood work from furniture? I have seen a beautiful piece of furniture that is covered in it. Has anyone any experience ? Thanks 🙏

It can be treated but, if it’s covered in it, does the piece of furniture have structural integrity? What is it? If a chair for example and covered in woodworm it may not be worth it if you could never risk sitting in it.
Where is this piece of furniture? If in an antique store or something I imagine it wouldn’t be active wood worm or they wouldn’t risk having it in there and possibly affecting other pieces of furniture.
