Help no heating! Boiler has error...

My boiler has a crc error!!! I have no idea what that is or how to fix it!!! I have reset it and switched it on and off but it wont get rid of the error. Have googled but not come up with anything! Help does anyone have any ideas? other than to call someone out to have a look?!!

join British Gas Homecare quick then call them out tomorrow and all parts and labour is covered for about £18 a month.

Is your pressure ok? What bar reading is on the dial? (I'm talking as if I know what I'm on about, but I don't really!)

Have you googled the make and model of the boiler to find a manual?

Agree with checking the pressure.

diynot forum are usually good with boilers.

Did a quick google for boilers and CRC errors in general. CRC error means a fault in the built in computer that takes care of temperature control etc. So I'm pretty sure it will need a qualified engineer and a new part, which is bad news I know.

As Saggarmakersbottomknocker said. Google the model and you might get a manual with a troubleshooting section just to be sure

Thanks for the replies - did google make and model and found a manuel but it didnt have any trouble shooting in!!!! I am at my mums tonight and have my friends brother coming tomorrow to have a look!
