If it's the only present you are giving (in the family, so everyone has just hit one name to give to) I'd say £50, up or down depending on wealth or lack of.

You aren't giving us much to go on here, OP.

This is going to depend on the budgets of the family involved - in particular the least well off person / people.

My young adult dc and their partners have started doing a Secret Santa, because at this stage in life thy haven't got much disposable cash. I think they decided £15 max last year.
However if I were doing it with my siblings, at a time of life when were are more comfortable, and doing it for reasons other than financial, I think I'd agree with others, that £50 might be more appropriate.

We do £30, but it will really depend as PPs say.

Most important thing is to have a proper discussion about it, so no one is surprised or feels put upon.

Sorry some background:

-Secret Santa will
be between MIL, SIL, BIL + wife, my partner, DC and my mother.
-First Christmas that I will spend abroad and not on the country I was raised (but have lived around the world for 14 years).
-Until my grandparents were alive, they happily pay for everyone's present (big family) and a secret Santa was also organised in a different day during Christmas time.
-In the past 4-5 years DH spent Christmas in my country of origin.
-My parents are going through a very tough financial situation but have organised past couple of Christmas making presents to DH and MIL.
-Secret Santa budget with my family was much less than £50, but also it is cheaper back home than London.
