Freeview reception

We've got a new Freeview box. Most of channels are fine (including cbeebies thank god) but a few are not including ITV, Channel 4 and Five - Lots of sticking and jumping around IYKWIM - Does this mean we need to upgrade our outside ariel or is our box likely to be faulty? Many thanks in advance...

Have you tried it for long?

Just that our Sky has been like that a bit over the past 3 or 4 days - in our case I think it is this bad weather - all the wind, etc. Might be something as simply as that, as it comes down the areial doesn't it?

Where abouts are you? We are near a transmitter and found that our reception for those channels was bad until we got an aerial booster which has improved the quality to near perfect.

We had the same problem, but nearly all the channels were dodgy reception-wise. Our ariel was ancient. So, we invested in a new one, and the bloke had to stick it on a 15 foot pole, as the woods around our house also interfere with reception, but now the picture is perfect!

And I had never seen channel 5 before! Darn them for their (mostly rubbish) movies I always start watching, keeping me up until gone 11 every night!
