Ds1 (age 7) has been playing rugby since Jan 2006- he is doing really well and loves training etc at a weekend- however the season ends in April and he is looking for something else to do. He has expressed an interest in Cricket- but this really is a sport that I know nothing about.

Anyone have any info regarding Kids cricket- is it an expensive sport etc? is he too young?

any advice appreciated.

My Ds1 (aged 6) plays rugby and cricket. I would contact your local club as most of them seem to run junior teams.

Clubs around here would take them at 7. I'm sure he could borrow a bat etc until you know if he enjoys it (you might prefer he has his own box though!) and even then stuff isn't that expensive.

She also signed up to the Shane Warne kids club and received lots of tips, a t-shirt and cricket ball. I'll try and find the details for you.
