A warning to anyone who tries to buy anything from twoleftfeet.co.uk - DON'T!

I ordered a car seat from them, it never arrived, and despite endless complaints they haven't refunded the £80-odd.

Don't buy from them!

Eeep! I've actually had extremely good service from them previously - particularly when needing to find out details of a product I can't see.

bea · 26/11/2002 20:34

i've heard loads of awful things about two left feet at ukparents.co.uk so much so that they had their Which fair trading symbol thing taken off them because of the barrage of comaplaints of bad service and evrything!

GeorginaA you seem to be one of the luckier ones...

sorry phillippat about that... maybe i should have posted on here to warn people... but as i have never shopped there... didn't want to spread gossip so to say!!!
hope you do get your refund back...

GeorginaA · 26/11/2002 20:37

I didn't know that bea thanks for letting us know. Will avoid them in the future, don't want to push my luck :/ I wonder if they've had a change of management or something? It was over a year ago I used them last I think.

Just to add to the debate. We went to the shop and had really good service and things were going ok until the goods were delivered. We ordered something that was damaged adn despite constant phone calls and faxes got no reply and the item STILL hasn't been changed (almost 5 months later). They also sent another item in error and we spent ages trying to get back the postage costs when we sent it back to them. Turned out they credited the wrong account! I would avoid as well....

mieow · 22/01/2003 06:40

did you order by credit card? if so, you can a refund through your credit card company.

munchbunch · 22/01/2003 08:36

We did, but visa say that unless you return the goods as faulty (and the item is a rocker chair and I need it for those night feeds!)they can't get involved. SO I have no real choice but to hold on and keep pestering them for a replacement

JulieF · 22/01/2003 20:36

Oh dear!

A few months ago on the babyworld products forum someone was having similar problems over a pushchair.

At the time they were saying they were a member of the Which web traders but in reality it had been taken off them.

They sound a seriously dodgy company.

Claireandrich · 23/01/2003 20:23

We have used them a couple fo times and have great service! The main thing we ordered was DD's Tripp Trapp highchair. It came when it said it would, was cheaper than everywhere else and we were really pleased. Second order was great too.

Seems like we were lucky though.

We have had mixed service from www.thebabycatalogue.co.uk (PHP) though. The first order was a nightmare. It took about 3 weeks to arrive and loads of phoning up. The ladies on the phone were polite and helpful though and it was sorted eventually. The second order - last week - was superb!

munchbunch · 24/01/2003 10:08

Just wanted to say I finally got through to the shop and they apologised for what they agreed was really poor service, and the replacement item is to be delivered today (fingers crossed). Apparently since going on the web they've been inundated with orders adn can't cope. So my advice to Philippat etc would be to keep trying. Also, dh tells me that Which web trader has folded - apparently it wasn't profitable - so this may explain why they had their sign withdrawn

Philippat · 24/01/2003 10:30

I'm pleased to say they finally refunded my money at the beginning of January (ordered car seat in August!).

However, I don't think it was because of my complaints (by email, phone and letter), but because I also complained to WebSurfUK who index them and they threatened to take them off the index. I would like to thank Mike of WebSurfUK and encourage you all to use his site!

I'm glad others haven't had the trouble I had but I will never ever buy from them again!

Philipat, do you still have the address of Mike at Websurfu? I am having horrendous trouble with TwoLeftFeet. I have sent 10 emails, ohoned them twice only to be told I have to email the relevevan t department only to not receive a response. I ordered a bugaboo frog footmuff back in January, have since cancelled the order and I am desperately trying to recoup my money from these time wasters. Any help or suggestions are gratefully received!

nursetigger6 · 24/02/2006 00:13

I have finally got my money back from TwoLeftFeet!! They sent me an email to say that I could expect my refund in the next couple of days, and the money was there today!!At last!! I have learnt my lesson and won't be buying from them again in the future!!Hope everyone else gets their money back soon!
