My mum and dad very generously gave me £100 for Christmas and birthday pressies for dd who is nearly 2. Any ideas for pressies? Don't want to fritter it. Was thinking maybe of investing in a dolls house for later.

A doll's house would be great. ELC's furntiure for doll's houses is nice and chunky too. My DD (2y 8m) plays with her doll's house and furniture loads.

wooden pram/trolley has bought hours of fun for both my ds's - you can get really well made ones from myriad toys - sorry don't know the website but their toys are gorgeous and very well made - all mainly wooden if you like that sort of thing

my dd's just turned two. out of the presents she got for her birthday the ones shes played with the most are a car that lights up and moves on its own (she likes boys toys more than dolls lol), a doll's buggy, and a tea set.

dd has just turned two and plays with her ELC car (which also moves long by itself), her teaset, countless jigsaws and her CD player.

At the childminders, she spends ages playing with the trainset.

Brio type trainset is brilliant, and starter kits are good value (add ons are pricy). Try ELC?
