We currently live in Yorkshire and have a two year old daughter. My husband is actively looking at and interviewing for a job in Norway which would be an amazing opportunity for him. I’m keen to look at all options and to see whether we could make a move work, and whether it would be the right thing for our family.
I’m really interested in whether anyone has any experience of moving from the UK to Norway. How did you find it? Specifically if anyone has experience of moving a toddler there, that would be great to hear. I know at this age their brains are like sponges but I keep thinking how scary it would be for her to move to a day care facility where they speak a different language, and inevitably there would be a transition period for her to learn and soak up the language. Also any thoughts re the school system and whether it’s better to go for the mainstream schools vs international? She would need to be in daycare as the intention is that I would continue with my job also.
Basically any info that might help with this dilemma would be great!
