Our PC has died - hard disk has to be wiped or replaced or something so I have lost all me bookmarks. Can anybody please give me addresses of websites for comparing prices of anything at all?

Thanking you!

I think shopsmart.com (or .co.uk) is another one

And there's www.pricerunner.com

They don't do PC's, but a good one for most other electrical things, and great for flights is EasyValue .

Will echo the kelkoo site recommendation.

Oh, thank you all, you are kind! I recognise a couple of sites that I had before but lots are new ones, that's great!

This is quite good too.

Thanks again, lou, I am looking at the moment at VCRs (joint Chrissie pres for Grandma from us and ILs, and also for DD1 who only has 1 between 6 in her student house and they don't all want to watch the same thing at the same time) (they are SO CHEAP now!) and also cameras - have just discarded my old APS, what a waste of time that was, and am choosing between an SLR and a compact zoom 35mm, unless someone wants to persuade me I should get a digital (but me and DH are technonumpties so not the best people to go that way!)

Jan we have every type of camera from the instant variety through to digital. Digital are great and not that hard to use honest! I think they all have their advantages and disadvantages, except for the aps which i agree are totally crap. Big plus of digital is that they can be loaded onto the pc and fiddled with so you get the exact shot you want and you dont have to send them away. I think you are better off getting one with an optical zoom, not digital, if i remember properly. And 2million + mega pixels for picture quality.

janh, I've heard that the digital ones are very easy to use - but I opted for a Nikon SLR as I wanted eventually to turn off the auto focus bit & be a bit adventurous myself
happy shopping

Janh, we just got a VCR from Argos for £50 with free 2 day delivery. They sell online too and are here
