Yorkiegirl, we use BT broadband basic which costs £17.99 per month (I think). It allows up to a certain amount of downloading, of which we get nowhere near.

We have telewest and pay £61 a month for unlimited phone calls (except mobiles and strange nos), one up from the bog standard broadband and cable, can't remember how many channels but enough. It's good I think, since our phone bill alone used to be over £50 a month.

blueyonder with telewest. Our neighbours have AOL and they are having the same problem.

ChristmasCracker · 16/12/2004 17:03

Thanks for starting this thread Yorkie as i need to know too.
I currently have AOL dial up and it is crap. Was going to use their broardband but their crap service puts me off.

Joolstide · 16/12/2004 17:09

BT Broadband - its not been a problem!

jingleballs · 16/12/2004 17:30

pipex, but so far they seem to be crap as they take the DD out of the bank when they want.

dogwalkinginawinterwonderland · 16/12/2004 17:42

Yorkiegirl - there's no limit to how long you can have it on and you can go to the BT site and check how much you're using. If you go over you need to pay a bit extra £4 per month I think. But with general use there's no way you're going to go over . Might be worth investigating. Sorry I can't be much more help DH knows all the details but he's not here right now.

Im on virgin broadband, was one of the cheapest (think I pay £17.99?) and there's no contract. They've been really good so far.

IMHE

Do not use TISCALI unless you want to talk to India for months of no help

They are useless

I have cancelled and am going to FREEDOM 2 SURF

£14.99 for 1 GB per month at 2 MB speed

OR £19.99 for 5 GB per month at 2 MB speed

You can buy 1 extra GB @ £2.99 if one month you use alot

You can download as much as you want between 1 am and 6 am

THE BEST THING IS THAT THEY ARE BASED IN ST. ALBANS

NOT INDIA

KangaSantaMummy · 16/12/2004 20:51

completley unlimited for £22.50 at 2 MB speed oryou can have slower if you want.

Either 1 MB or 512 MB

Chuffingoodtime · 17/12/2004 09:23
