Have seen a few posts on here with people asking similar advice so hoping I might have some luck!
Will try not to ramble....
We are looking to relocate out of Reading next year. Currently living in Caversham and ideally would like somewhere that is similar in the sense that we are fairly close to the town but also surrounded by alot of green space! My husband works in London but there's a good chance he will be able to transfer to the office they have in East Midlands Airport, so we have been looking at areas near there (Derby, Leicester etc)
I have seen quite a few houses in Loughborough that I like the look of, and we're hoping at the beginning of next year to take a trip to visit his parents who live in Ibstock and visit some areas to get a feel for them...
basically does anyone have any advice on areas in or around Leicester/Derby or further out that have a village/small town feel, (husband is from London and I grew up in a tiny village just outside of Didcot - hence the appeal to find a mixture of lively and quiet all in one place...) lots of green space & parks but easy access to larger town centres & good public transport!!
