How do I go about finding a University research study?

A few years ago we took part in some research being done by the University of Aberdeen about genetic links to congenital heart defects.

We would love to find the results to this study, but have googled it with no luck. The person in charge did say they would let me have a copy, but we have moved since then.

Do you know the name of any of the researchers? Pubmed is the place to look, but if it's only a few years ago it may well not have been published yet.

Thanks, just found links on the uni website for pubmed. I can't find it so maybe it hasn't been published yet. I can't even remember which year it was (less than 5 but more than 2 I think!), and one of the researchers may have been called alison!

Off to bed for now but will look again tomorrow.

I just published a paper with data that took 7 years to accumulate, so I wouldn't be too shocked if it's not out yet

Gosh, I had no idea things could take that logn

If I can't find it I'll try to remember to remember about it in another few years

write to the person in charge of the study. It is good practice to feed back to partcipants and they will be happy you are interested.
