Farking ice cream van...

yes, I know i'm a killjoy, but jeezo, our local ice cream van is so bloody loud it drowns out the tv. Would I be a total twat if I phoned environmental health? He comes at 7 and 10.30 pm, even in the depths of winter.
nb: I have not posted this in the aibu topic; is this indicitive of anything?!

Who in gods name buys ice cream at 10.30 in the evening? Maybe the music is broken and he can't switch it off. I would complain...but don't expect much of a response!

IME dodgy ice cream vans in depths of winter are flogging something other than Mr Whippy.

I live in a rural area in the south west of Scotland! The thing is, no one uses the van that late - i have looked out my BEDROOM window! There are loads of kids round here, but they are all in bed by then. Surprised more people aren't pissed off.

Years our area was visited by an icecream van regularly at 3pm and 9pm, day in, day out. This was in Scotland and I have fond memories of the van looming out of a blizzard, dead on time. But to be fair, it also sold groceries, milk etc so did come in handy. I think when ds2 was a baby I survived on Mars bars from the van, which were so cold I had to thaw them before I could eat them. For long enough ds1 didn't know it was an ice cream van - he thought it just went round playing 'pretty music' for people.

agree with 2happy - icecream van outside our local college got done by police for selling drugs to the students!
