Since this warm / humid weather I've noticed a increase in flies indoors.
I was in my living room the other day when what I thought was a housefly landed on my leg, but next minute I felt a sharp sting/bite. I thought I was going a bit mad as houseflies (annoying as they are) don't hurt you, but minutes later it did it again. I've had several instances since - they're nasty little feckers!
They're not horseflies, they're a different shape - exactly like houseflies, so hard to tell the difference. Looking it up I think they could be 'stable' flies, but I've never experienced them before now, certainly not in my house. Anyone else had this? I'm hoping it's not an exciting new feature of the Great British Summer 😬
