Garage refusing refund

Picked up new second hand car from a local dealership last week. We bought the car outright on the Sunday and were promised it would be fully serviced and MOT'ed by Thursday. Come Wednesday we'd heard nothing so rang them. They advised they'd had to order a part and that though the vehicle was okay to he driven there'd be service lights on it and they would do MOT when the part came in (up to 3 weeks).

To be honest, I wasn't at all happy about this. We'd just agreed to scrap our old car which had finally given up the ghost. I didn't want a car that would involve more garage visits and potential issues should it not pass the MOT etc. I asked for a refund but was fobbed off and pressurised to take the car.

On pick up all seemed okay but soon noticed an issue with the clutch sticking as well as some awful creaking sounds in low gears. DH agrees it's not right. Garage have taken it back but are saying they don't see any issues. Manager is taking it on a longer run tonight.

V05 certificate comes through today and it turns out it's had 4 previous owners. They told me 3.

I really don't have a good feeling about the car and think it's going to be a money pit. Aibu to demand a full refund? I don't even care about the tax and petrol but it was close to 10k and I just want another car from somewhere I trust.
