Don't panic I wasn't thinking of dst (3 in two weeks!) We had dh's nephew here a couple of weeks ago and he told us this was going to be one of the things he got for Christmas.
Now I may be old fashioned but is iRobot really suitable for a 9-year-old? I thought some of the themes and scenes in the film might be a little scary for a 9-year-old but then SIL lets him play things like Vice City. She thinks he is mature enough to handle it but he just doesn't act like a child ought to, like he doesn't know how to play properly and when we take him out anywhere (even before dst's came along) he is more interested in the shop.
I find it quite sad but then he was brought up by MIL (who likes a tipple) while SIL and BIL did everything but look after their little boy. I suppose I am just being judgemental of SIL but when DH spoke to her about the video games he plays she said BIL buys them so apparently that means she has no control.
So am I being fuddy-duddy? (I am 33 on Saturday you know, have to be serious now, ahem )
