What is teh term for the white stuff growing inside jam jars going bad????

The fluffy thing which is caused by bacteria?
Is it mildew?

PS Writing a complaint to Tesco. Have received some rsperries (replacement for the blueberries I've ordered) with today's display by date and they are all bad, very soft, black on teh inside and present this white fluff. What's the word I need to use???

Yep. Mould I was after. Couldn't be bothered to go downstairs and look it up in the dictionary.
