Thanks for remembering

No good news

The Insurance policy specifically excludes Legal help for Insurance claims
The Ombudsman - after initially saying 3-4 weeks have not even assigned the case yet and won't for 6-8 weeks
The Sol billed me for £600 and has still not decided if there is a case to persue

So no news is not necessarily good news

I just close my eyes and try to think up ways to fill up the vacancies in the Childminding business.....A mum from school today drew me a logo - as she thought mine wasn't very good (it wasn't) and did a trial poster giving me suggestions for advertising.

I have 10 empty places and at 6 hrs a day that would be £750 and would replace the Ins money...

Lateral thinking and displacement help not to focus on it too much.

Also we bought and paid for our Holiday on 27th Dec and we even had spending money saved up - so it's not all bad......only when I forget and think about it

have you thought about advertising a drop in service .. it was an idea I had when I started childminding ... so you get people to commit to a minimum number of sessions (morning or afternoon or full day) per calendar month .. pay up front .. and basically you give SAHMs a flexible break .. so they book in the week before or call on spec to see if you have availability

I did think it through and advertise it and got quite a few calls but then I gave up childminding due to pregnancy

just a thought
