Dogs next door going nuts

My next door neighbour has two labradoodle type dogs. Every day they whine and bark. Eg. Today she has just gone out and the dogs are going nuts - this carries on for hours and is every day. Do I have a word with her and tell her that her dogs are distressed? What can I do?

If you don’t feel you can approach your neighbour to say you’re a bit worried about the amount of barking the dogs do, you can contact your Council who should send someone to call on your neighbour, they don’t tell them who rang and complained. We did this with a neighbour whose 2 dogs barked the whole time they were in the garden. Neighbours dogs were given an ABSO and wrote to us asking us to monitor the situation. Neighbour actually found another owner for one of the dogs as it literally barked the whole time inside and outside.

If it is when she is out the house she may not realise ( do they start as soon as she is out the door or a bit later). As a dog owner I would want to know ( we have a camera so I can check on our dog, he normally settles after a few mins). I would mention it in a ‘just wanting to let you know in case you weren’t aware’ type conversation. Of course she might know and not care which makes it trickier
