Looking for advice , I live in a private rented house I have for over 5 years , I’m in a bit of a state wanting to move house due to someone in the area that is very intimidating and threatening towards me and other people in the area , no one will report them as they are terrified of the backlash is there any advice on how I could be housed by a housing association due to my mental health , it’s very personal how threatening they can be especially when I have had to phone police before as the said person was kicking my door , there is no reason for this at all and I’m not the only one that has been effecting in the area we live in but again no one will report may I add I share a stair case with the person and the fear me and my kids have coming up the stairs is unreal my son who has autism will not even come up the close if said persons door is open which causes so much stress and alarm too him and his younger sibling , im at my wits end😭__

I think you would come under medical condition made worse by your current home if your MH difficulties (& DSs) are documented by the GP and you are on medication/having counselling or something. It sounds miserable, I hope you can move soon Flowers

“How decisions are madeOrganisations decide who gets offered housing based on a 'points' or 'banding' system – usually according to their allocations policy.
Points and bands are based on housing need. For example, you're likely to be offered housing first if you:

  • are homeless
  • live in overcrowded conditions
  • have a medical condition made worse by your current home”
