3 children, 2 car seats and a preteen

Hey mummies, I’m looking at car options, I have 3 kinds of my own, 2 of which require car seats (2 year old and a 5 month old) and an 11 year old who doesn’t need a car seat and also a step daughter who’s 16 and visits school holidays ect. When we go out as a family my 11 year old has to go in the middle and keeps moaning the car seats hurt her sides and she is gonna get bigger so more squashed… if we have my step daughter we have to take 2 cars!
I can’t find any safe smaller slimmer car seats for the boys so I think my o lot option is a 7 seater. I refuse to drive a mini bus lol so no zafiras ect, I’d like a mvp style… dose anyone have 1?

You could try putting the baby car seat belt fitted in the middle seat which will give your 11yo more space on the outer side :)

we did try but because of the base bit it didn’t sit properly on wobbled too much! We ended up buying a Volvo xc90 which is 7 seats but the fold up seats in the boot a proper seats and still leaves room in the boot for the double pushchair!

Oh nice! Have you checked in the manual whether a HBB is allowed in those rear seats BTW? It's common that they aren't.
