I was pretty shocked to read the negative comments about living in Leatherhead. We moved here from Hampton Court in 2012.
We have a beautiful house in a lovely road in South Leatherhead, I find it really depressing when people talk about Leatherhead in such a critical and negative way. This is a town that inspired Jane Austin and CS Lewis, one with a close walk to wonderful country side, a Famous THEATRE, a LEISURE CENTRE with SWIMMING POOL , LIBRARY plus great TRAIN access to London , both via Victoria and Waterloo . Plus a reasonable range of Bus Routes that link to DORKING, GUILDFORD , COBHAM & KINGSTON.
As musicians we were thrilled to have so many music venues in this part of Surrey . I do accept that the High Street would be improved by having a Fish Shop and a Bakers but shoppers do have a Sainsbury’s and a Waitrose. I’m quite happy to support views that are realistic and true but unsubstantiated and negative comments on Leatherhead are not only depressing but also totally misleading .

This is a town that inspired Jane Austin and CS Lewis, one with a just a short walk to wonderful countryside, a Falmouth THEATRE, a LEISFURE CENTRE with SWIMMING POOL, a LIBRARY plus great Train access to London via both VICTORIA AND WATERLOO. Plus a reasonably range of Bus Routes that link to DORKING, GUILDFORD, COBHAM & KINGSTON.
As musicians we have been thrilled to find so many music venues in this part of surrey and enjoy supporting our local Theatre. I do accept peoples issues with our High Street which would benefit from a Fresh Fish shop and Bakers but hoppers also have a Sainsbury’s and a Waitrose. I’m quite happy to support views that are realistic and true but unsubstantiated and negative comments on Leatherhead are not only depressing but also totally incorrect.
