I love the style of all 3 and apparently they are basically the same. It would be good to hear people's views on them please 🙏 Thank you x

Aygo, Toyotas have the more reliable engine. I’ve had 2 and they never let me down

Lionoso · 18/07/2023 17:18

Toyotas generally are more reliable than the other two.

DustyLee123 · 18/07/2023 17:23

Toyota Aygo.

Roselilly36 · 18/07/2023 17:41

DH had a c1 as a courtesy car once, absolutely dreadful, worse car he has ever driven. Make sure you test drive whatever you buy.

Roselilly36 · 18/07/2023 17:43

Peugeots are usually pretty good, DH last two cars have been Peugeot, and he is very fussy 😂

Katesdeadbehindtheeyes · 19/07/2023 08:58

They all share the same 3 cylinder Toyota KR engine designed by Daihatsu ( well the older ones did) so mechanical they should be the same. Just depends on what badge you like. Personal not for me bit erm slow.

Katesdeadbehindtheeyes · 19/07/2023 09:00

*Personally not Personal my apologies

MoreHairyThanScary · 19/07/2023 09:05

Aygo without a doubt

Loverofoxbowlakes · 19/07/2023 09:08

Literally the same with different styling.

I have a 108,my mechanic told me to always but aygo parts as they're cheaper.

Love mine (only do small commute, 8 miles on the motorway, good in town but also decent on the occasional very long drive)

SquashPenguin · 19/07/2023 09:15

Aygo hands down.

Ive had eight French cars from work over the last ten years and they’ve all been crap!

CouldIHaveThatInEnglishPlease · 19/07/2023 09:18

C1 and 108 are the exact same car - they just have a different badge on them
same as Kia picanto or Hyundai i10 - same car different badge which are similar to your choices only they have 3 seatbelts in the back instead of 2.
so you are really picking which brand you like best - a bit like Nike vs. Adidas kinda thing.
I had a c1 and loved my little car, but will be buying a i10 next year for that extra seatbelt

3girlsunder3 · 19/07/2023 09:53

They are all the same car, mechanically and structurally. The only difference is the outer body styling - literally everything else the same so no issues with one manuybeing more reliable etc etc - all use the same parts and assembled in the same factory

Redandpinkstripes · 20/07/2023 21:21

Thank you. I think I'm going for the Toyota. Now to find one! X

My DD has a C1 and it's been an ok car for her but she's outgrown it and hates it now. The Aygo is a nice looking vehicle.

KitKat1985 · 20/07/2023 21:36

Aygo. Toyota's are more reliable by far.

fetchacloth · 20/07/2023 22:00

Definitely the Aygo 💯

Ohmylovejune · 20/07/2023 22:03

I had an original aygo. They were designed and made in the same place to make a small car that was affordable. The three companies then did their own thing with them. Toyota were the most expensive but better trim levels. I had 2 over 18 years my parents had one too for 13 years. Fab vehicles

Redandpinkstripes · 21/07/2023 19:14

Thank you, i really appreciate the comments x

Just wanted to warn you that some older versions of those cars can have faulty seals around the lights, which lets in water!
We bought a 6 month old C1 for our daughter when she passed her test, only to find after a few weeks at least 6 inches of water sloshing around in the boot! It got so bad that the back seats and footwell got soggy too. Luckily we bought from a Citroen dealership and we were able to return the car with a full refund. We’ve since learned that all those type cars had the same issue over time . So beware of older models. Our daughters was a 63 plate .

Argos are great!

Argos are great!

So are Aygos apparently 🙄😂

ArcticBells · 21/07/2023 20:01

I always buy Japanese cars as so reliable

Babyroobs · 21/07/2023 20:02

I drive a C1 and have had it from it being a year or so old, bought in 2012. It is extremely reliable and economical.
