actually you probably don't need to be too technical- just know more than me - which shouldn't be hard Smile

My PC has been re-installed and upgraded to Broadband. But when i go to all my previously well used sites on the internet I keep having to type my login details in fully. It used to store them so that after i typed one letter the whole address would come up. Now I have to type it in each time which is time consuming and a bore.

Is there a setting I can change ?

its to do with cookies- thats all i know. i get this a lot with xp and broadband- it's a pain

We,ve got Firefox which has Password Manager. But yours will probably start doing it again soon.

Depends which web browser you're using Kayleigh - if it's Firefox, you need to go into Tools > Options > Privacy and you can select to save all form information there. If it's internet explorer it's a similar procedure (I've uninstalled it so I can't check), look in Tools > Options and there should be something about Autocomplete in there.

I think you go:

Tools
Options
Privacy
History
and then you select how many days for it to 'remember history'.

I think thats it.

GKWCL, that doesn't do anything with form entries, it's the setting that controls how many days-worth of websites your browser will remember

yes, in IE, it's tools>internet options. Select the "content" tab and there's a button for autocomplete options in the box at the bottom.

spacedonkey and SenoraPostrophe you are absolutely right. I have now found the autocomplete tab which was under the "content" tab in Internet Explorer. I ticked forms option and it is working.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Mwah XXX
