Hi 👋🏻 I've just got into podcasts, I've binge listened to uk true crime, but now can't seem to find one that keeps my attention. Does anyone have any recommendations please along the same lines. Thankyou

Hi Op! Welcome to podcasts, there's a whole board for them under Film & TV with LOADS of suggestions sorted by subject already, including several true crime if that's your thing Smile

Whisperer in the Darkness on BBC Sounds is still one of the best things I've ever listened to

LillyLeaf · 28/06/2023 18:16

I've recently listened to 'Vishal', 'Believe in magic' and 'Hoaxed'. I'm always on the look out for new ones as I go through them so quickly.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 28/06/2023 18:18

I’ve been listening to ‘Scamanda’ about a woman who cons her entire community by pretending to have terminal cancer.

And ‘Vishal’, a UK podcast about the disappearance and murder of a little boy which has never been solved. Again, a gripping, though tragic tale.

The Deck, Crime Junkies, and Anatomy of Murder are my favorites. They're all about US cases, so might have some new crimes for you.

TheDogsMother · 28/06/2023 18:31

Have you listened to the Lazarus Heist on BBC Sounds ? Absolutely fascinating and a bit scary.

CountTo10 · 28/06/2023 19:19

Scamanda as mentioned previously. Sweet Bobby, Stolen Hearts and the first series of Serial which is what got me into podcasts. Also Dirty John and a weekly crime podcast, Casefile. It's Australian with an anonymous host but he covers cases from all around the world and is extremely well researched. Similar but British 'They Walk Among Us'. That should keep you going for a while!

I really like Rachel Johnson's "Difficult Women"
She interviews very interesting women and has a big back catalogue to binge.

Lookingformymarbles · 28/06/2023 19:33

I've been listening to podcasts for a while but only light hearted ones-Fi & Jane, older & wider etc but have only recently got into true crime.

Can second Scamander & Chameleon.
Also Filthy Rituals which is what got me into true crime in the first place. These 3 are basically about scammers-fascinating and scary at the same time!

Another series - ‘Root of Evil’ is good too, but also highly disturbing. I needed to take a breather between episodes at times.
