i assumed all of them go up to 4 but i have just found out about one that only goes up to 3. something to do with insurance cos they have newborn babies attending so 4 year olds are more boisterous than 3 year olds???? madness!!god knows how you meant to attend these things if you have an older child too.

A group of us started our own parents and tot thingy for 9 mths to 2 as our town has a group for newbies and a toddler group for 2 plus. At tree, most are at nursery, but memebers of our group who have more than one can take their other los along. We contacted the insurer who adjusted our policy accordingly. It's no biggie, just more expensive, but not prohibitively so.

Ours goes upto school age. Only open term time.

All the ones I go to are up to school age. Some are great as they have separate rooms for babies and younger kids.

nappy, it's not the age, it's the adult to kid ratio. parent and toddler insurance generally assumes there is one child per adult. Therefore, if a mum brings two kids, there is a greater theoretical risk of an accident occuring, hence the hike!

it is the age ... they don't have a problem with people taking twins or even triplets. also childminders use the group.

the 2 I go to are both up to school age and in the holidays sometimes parents bring an older one too

Oh. I'm afraid I don't know. Our insurance is with morton michel, if that helps? It specifies age as pre-school.

we have a drop-in group near us which a few 3 1/2 yr/4 yr old kids go to - they go to afternoon nursery like my ds2 but we still have to find something to do with them in the morning so I'm pleased this place at least takes older kids. There are others i wouldn't bother going to as they just seem to be geared at toddlers.
