Hi great minds

Looking for a hobby basically.
Looking for something I can dip in and out of without a massive commitment.
What do others do, Looking for ideas of something I've not tried before please

I've joined a non auditioned PAYG choir. They do a few concerts but you don't have to.

Build Lego.

SertralineAndTherapy · 21/06/2023 18:55

The sort of thing you can do on your own, or something more social?

I dont mind, not massive social groups but I don't mind a few people, maybe upto 15 or so

I really like boardgames, often ones that take a couple of hours, although I have a few which takes weeks and weeks to play (in bursts) as they tell a story. Some are solo, some are for the family, some with friends or co-workers (although there are also clubs around). Like all hobbies, that really might not be your thing though!

I also build Lego and collect Lego figures. I collect the figures that aren't the standard minifigures, so, Belville, Scala, fabuland, Jack Stone, Technic.

Thanks. I do enjoy listening to podcasts already, things like deathbed confessions, conspiracy theories and mysteries. I'm a bit weird that way. I enjoy murder documentaries but more so about the police work behind it.
I read when I get chance, but to be honest I'd rather listen to a podcast.
I just don't do anything else for me. I'm at a loss as to what I might enjoy.

Cosplay? Hobbies are more fun when people you like join.

Family history/genealogy?
I discovered my great great grandmother witnessed a woman beat another woman to death in the street. I found the newspaper reports of the court case. Fascinating.
I pay for a membership to Ancestry that works out at about £10 a month to access British records. Might go off it for a few months but then go back to it again. It doesn't require a regular commitment so could suit you
